“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.” John 3:13-16 MSG

If it were possible to perform open heart surgery on the Father, I believe John 3:16 would leap right out at us. The Father loves every person born into this world with the same everlasting love, the assurance or evidence of this love is Jesus. What Jesus did at the Cross reveals to us the significance and preciousness of His Love. Jesus, God’s only Son, made the way of salvation, He has become a way out for us by purchasing a one-way ticket for anyone who wants to leave or get out. People purchase roundtrip tickets to go to places such as Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii, or Bahamas because they know these places are known as places of Paradise where to some degree you’re lost in the beauty or fabrication of the external things that causes one to enjoy – love.  To some degree, for some it will “activate” that love affair or passion, but it’s going to end because you purchased a roundtrip ticket. A roundtrip ticket means the date and time for your enjoyment will expire and you’ll have to go back to where you came from; therefore all the excitement, all the passion, all the laughter, all the fun and all the enjoyment of Paradise is going to end soon, BUT Jesus purchased you a one-way ticket to Paradise where you’ll enjoy love, joy, peace, and fulfillment that you don’t have to go back.  You don’t have to go back to depression, you don’t have to go back to disappointment, you don’t have to go to your rejection, you don’t have to go back to your past, you don’t have to go back to loneliness, you don’t have to go back to your old ways, you don’t have to go back – you can stay and live with the Author of love, that’s true Paradise.

Our mission and assignment is to convey that message of God’s love revealed in the face of Jesus to our generation/age. To say Jesus is the only way may seem narrow minded, insensitive, and uncouth to this generation but in reality it magnifies the depth and power of love that God has for us. It’s priceless, precious, rare and settled! It happened once, and for all! Our Father makes it abundantly clear, all have sinned, all need a Savior. Not many Saviors, only one Savior. Not many ways, only one way. Not many truths, only one truth – Jesus.
