A Living Faith is an active faith that constantly produces in the life of the people of God. The Christian life is essentially progressive. It is constantly growing and maturing. It is happening and developing gradually or in stages. It is never at a standstill. If it is at a standstill, it is dying. Dead faith, dead worship, and dead works.
But we have a living faith, our worship is sincere, and our works shall speak for themselves. Jesus said to the doubters, if you don’t believe in Me believe in the works that I do (see Jn 10:38; 14:11). We go from faith to faith (Rom 1:17); strength to strength (Ps 84:7); and glory to glory (II Cor 3:18). Though our outward man perish, our inward man is renewed (should be) day by day (II Cor 4:16).
There ought to be spiritual renovation and renewal on a daily basis for the Saints of God. We’re Saints because we’ve been redeemed, not because we’ve died and gone to Heaven. Our faith should be getting stronger, our inner strength should be renewed as the eagle and the glory of God should be more and more evident and manifest in our lives as we grow.
Peter said add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge self control…(II Pet 1:5-7). We should always live and in our living, grow. In our growing we should mature to such a status that people only see Jesus.
"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." Eph 4:13
