Because As He Is, So Are We…

    July 2, 2017

And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.” II Cor 3:18 MSG

That is the plan of God! We become more like Him in ever increasing splendor from one degree of glory to the next. The Father does not force it on us, but it is the spiritual process or progression for every one of His sons and daughters.

We are made in His image and after His likeness. Power and authority has been restored to us through Jesus. God has given us everything we need in this life to glorify His name. God’s original intent and purpose in calling us must be pursued and fulfilled or we will become disqualified. How you live and regulate your life will determine your final outcome.

The writer of the book of Hebrews said this, “It is a fearful (formidable and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God (Heb 10:31 AMP)!” When we look at God’s desires versus His judgment, the choice is quite simple – live for Him! Remember what He said before, “I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing…choose life!” His purposes and plans for us are good and right. It’s the best! Consider the following and live your life accordingly.

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” I Jn 4:17

It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.” II Cor 4:6 MSG

He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.” Rev 21:7

He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.” Rev 22:11
