“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
(Eph. 3:19 NLT)
The Father’s first Crowning Achievement was the creation of man according to Genesis chapter one, verse twenty-six. Of all His creation, it was man who was created in His image and after His likeness. It was man that He gave dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beast/cattle of the field, ALL THE EARTH, and every creeping thing in the earth. It was man that He told to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it (bring it under your control). It was man that He gave the responsibility to name every creature He created and whatever man called it, is what it was, and is. Created last, man was preferred before and over the works of God’s hands. As the Psalmist King David said, “…and hast crowned him with glory and honor (see Ps 8:3-6)”.
Even though man sinned, God never gave up on him. God repented for making man but He continued to show love, grace, and mercy towards him (Gen 6:6, 8). Man was His Crowning Achievement and four thousand years later He would give us a Surpassing Victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil through His last and Greatest Crowning Achievement, Jesus Christ – the Son of the Living God.
God had two Sons, the first one formed of the earth, Adam (seeGen 2:7; Lk 3:38), and the Second Son/Adam of Heaven (I Cor15:45, 47). Adam was formed/created and made a living soul, Jesus was begotten of the Father, and made a quickening Spiritfrom heaven. In Adam all die, in Christ all are made alive (I Cor15:22). We came into this world through Adam, we overcome this world through Jesus. Adam failed but Jesus succeeded. In Adam we lose, in Christ we gain a Surpassing Victory (we WIN)! The Victory we receive in Christ is not just for a moment, it’s for a lifetime and eternity! Who are you following?Who are you listening to?
