    Words of Eternal Life

    May 5, 2019

"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life."  (Jn. 6:68)

You have the Words of Eternal Life! Can you think of anything more important? Jesus said, “what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul. Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul (Mk. 8:36-37)?” What’s more important than your own life? What do you value most in life? Education is good but education does not give eternal life. Careers are good but careers do not give eternal life. Wealth is good but wealth does not give eternal life. Companionship is good but companionship does not give eternal life.

Healthy eating is good but healthy eating does not give eternal life. Exercise is good but exercise does not give you eternal life. There’s only One Source of Eternal Life and that Source is Jesus. He is the Word of Life. He is the Resurrection and the Life (Jn. 11:25).

Jesus is the Source of Eternal Life and He is the Captain of our Salvation. He is what Eternal Life is all about. His life on earth represented what this life is all about – living to declare the Glory of God. His Words are Words to live by. While the world is full of chaos, confusion, and disorder, Jesus gives a life of peace and good cheer.

Going to Church is for those who are religious. Being the Church is for those who want to learn and grow in their walk and relationship with Jesus and Glorify Him in the earth. The Church is that Community of Believers in God and in Christ that have devoted their lives to Him because they are saved and have the free gift of Eternal Life. Step Into It!

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Pro. 4:20-23.)”
